The installer is written using Innosetup. You will need to download and install this software before continuing. As of this writing the installer was written using version 1.2.2

The install file expects a certain setup of how the folders will look. Here is how to setup that folder structure.

1. Download and install OpenSong. Make sure you select to install everything. Including all the languages.
2. Copy the folder from c:\program files\OpenSong to another folder location
3. In that folder delete unins000.exe
4. In that folder create a new folder called InnoSetup
5. Download the setup.iss file from here and save it in the InnoSetup folder.
6. Download the OpenSongInstall.ICO from the same location as above and put it in the root OpenSong Folder.

You should be now configured to build the OpenSong installer. Your directory structure should look like this.

|_ OpenSong Scripture
|_ OpenSong Settings

To customize your installation just add the backgrounds, sets, or songs into your OpenSong Defaults folder. The installer will automatically include these. In the Settings folder you can edit the configuration files to make them whatever default you would like.

1. Start Innosetup Compiler
2. On the Open screen choose “Open an existing script file”
3. Choose “More Files” from the list
4. Click OK
5. Browse to the Setup.iss file
6. Click OK
7. It will bring up an editor with the script. You can make any changes you would like.
8. From the menu bar choose “Build”→“Compile”

It will run through the compile and tell you any errors if everything is ok then you will have the installer in the “OpenSong”→“InnoSetup”→“output” folder.
