====== Windows / Mac ======
  - Go to the [[:downloads]] page, where you will find links to the current installers for Windows and Mac computers.
  - Download the relevant install package to a suitable location (Probably your desktop).
  - Execute the installer. This will guide you through the rest of the process, creating any necessary folders and files on your system.

====== Linux ======
Because REALbasic is free on Linux, there is not currently a compiled version for Linux. In order to install OpenSong you need Compile from the source manually.

  - download and install [[http://realbasic.com/download/|REALbasic]]  and the current [[http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/opensong/opensong-0.9.9bc-src.zip?download|source]] for OpenSong.  - Compile the source, placing it in a suitable location.
  - The First time you run OpenSong it will create the necessary folders and settings files, you will need to add the song  files and backgrounds manually to the correct folders.
